LambdaPoint has over the years evolved deep expertise in Computer Vision in the manufacturing space. Our initial research focused on finding fluid properties using spectroscopic and fluorescence analytics that set us on the path for using Computer Vision to analyze and focus on a wider range of measurements in the plant and factory. Our platform provides a seamless way for customers to control, calibrate and regulate all our devices on the field including multiple communication protocols, multiple data types, and our patent pending Visual Detection Technology. This platform also integrates to multiple consumer protocols like OPC, MQTT and as well as a free custom API that is provided by us to connect to multiple Historians and Cloud databases. Platform technology helps manufacturers to spend less time on complex software and ML configurations and instead focus more to solve their real problems of plant optimization and operator enablement.

Chemicals

A chemical plant has applied our flagship devices to read manual gauges, digital displays and liquid levels in the plant. Such data that was captured only once or twice in a shift before the use of our devices now streams every minute into the server in the local control room and can be used by operators as per their needs. Many process calculations are carried out with this continuous real time data that give more meaningful insights.

Metals and Minerals

An old mineral processing plant wanted to implement Advanced Process Control, but a lot of the measurements required were either missing or manually captured in the plant by operators at shift frequency. With our devices such measurements that were used as dependent variables in the APC controller could now be recorded in a minute frequency. The initiative results in an additional 0.5% energy reduction and more than 1% additional increase in yield of the APC than before.

Pharma

A regulatory industry giant implemented our devices to capture data from pilot plant equipment. The pilot plant equipment is built-in such a way that the data is manually recorded from key instruments every 15 minutes. Our devices helped customers record such data from all parts of the pilot plant every minute. This data is then used for understanding the process dynamics of the system and decide on a better control strategy.

Food and Beverages

A food company had several weighing machines, from which the operators recorded data manually at some of the most important stages in its process, especially where recipe-based batches of critical components were mixed. Using our devices to record batch related data from weighing machines, manual errors were eliminated, and an alarm system was built. The result was complete elimination of off spec mixing. 

Building Materials

Many packaging and building material plants have a biomass boiler. Many of these biomass boilers are of an older vintage and are run through basic control systems and usually have basic instrumentation in place. Our devices take such instrumentation and convert those measurements into continuous digital data that can be used for carrying out mass and energy balance of these boilers on a real time basis thus providing opportunity for efficiency improvement.

Energy

Several control valves in the field do not have system that records stem positions- also known as positioner. However, during implementation of advanced technology applications as well as troubleshooting of valve stickiness, such a measurement is required frequently by plant operators and managers as well as the instrumentation department. We provide Hazloc certified products that can be implemented in explosive zones within energy plants and save companies significant investments through better control valve maintenance.

ABOUT OUR LEGACY

LambdaPoint Innovation started as an R&D company focused on innovations for process measurements to enable automation and optimization of various industrial processes. We collaborated with the CSIR labs to develop a technology for non-invasive estimation of TAN, API and Sulphur using MIR spectroscopy and chemometric methods in energy industry. This novel cutting-edge research formed the basis for us to explore a gamut of technologies available in the then emerging AI/ML space to start embedding sophisticated models in world class custom designed hardware. Over the last five years, we have invested heavily in developing and testing some of the most sophisticated hardware, software and AI/ML algorithms to help process industries improve their performance and achieve an optimized energy and efficiency mix while achieving increased asset uptime.

Transporting plant data safely and without loss to dashboards and analytics systems is one of the important needs in today’s manufacturing. To manage myriads of protocols and often closed systems provided by many vendors, our IIoT connection bus is a versatile system that connects our devices and provides connectivity to Historians, DCS/PLCs, weighing machines, OPC data sources, Lab Systems, Energy meters and numerous other plant specific data sources.

ML Modeling

All our devices are embedded with deep learning models that are used by our systems to translate visual data into digital data. Now for the first time ever we have opened up our library of models combined with our expertise in Industrial processes to help you model your plant processes, equipment and engineering models to put your data to best use.

Dashboards

Our industry specific dashboards provide you with a starter kit such that you can build your dashboards for use by every part of your manufacturing personnel without spending a huge budget or projects that take months rather than weeks. Our dashboards can be directly connected to multiple data sources and come free with our devices. The dashboard cannot currently be licensed separately but the connectors can be purchased.
